✅ Verification & blue badge
TikTok verification: how to get the verified badge
On TikTok, the verified badge shows that an account really belongs to the person, brand or organization it represents. For a creator or a business, it is a real asset against fake accounts that reuse your videos and name to scam your followers.
TikTok grants the badge based on its own criteria, which change over time. This guide sums up the general principles, the usual in-app path and what you can do right now to protect your audience, including My Official Links certification. Important: My Official Links is not affiliated with TikTok and cannot obtain or speed up a TikTok badge.
How TikTok decides to verify an account
TikTok does not publish a guaranteed number (followers, views…). The criteria generally highlighted are:
- Authentic: the account represents a real person, brand or entity.
- Unique: it is the main account of that person or brand.
- Active: the account posts regularly and its information is up to date.
- Notable: the person or brand is recognized and searched for, often covered by independent sources.
- Compliant: no serious breaches of the Community Guidelines.
A large following is not enough on its own, and meeting every criterion does not guarantee a badge. Up-to-date rules live in the official help center: support.tiktok.com.
Where to apply in the app
The path may differ by app version and country:
- Open your Profile, then the menu (three lines, top right).
- Go to Settings and privacy, then Account.
- Look for an option related to verification. If it is offered, follow the steps and provide the requested information.
- If you can’t see it, requests may not be open for your account: check the official help center or, for a business, your official TikTok contact if you have one.
- Wait for the answer inside the app (inbox, notifications). TikTok will not contact you from an unknown WhatsApp number asking you to pay for a badge.
Get your TikTok account ready
- Clear name and @username, identical to the ones you use elsewhere.
- Complete bio with what you do and one official link that gathers your channels.
- Regular posting and original content.
- Strong security: 2-step verification, up-to-date email and phone. A hacked account loses credibility fast — see hacked TikTok account.
- Press presence: articles, interviews, public collaborations.
- Report copycats as soon as you see them — see fake TikTok account.
Scams to avoid
- “Agencies” promising a TikTok badge for a fee.
- “TikTok Support” messages asking for your password or an SMS code.
- Links to fake forms that imitate TikTok.
- Follower packages to “reach the threshold”: there is no guaranteed threshold, and bought followers can hurt your account.
No TikTok badge yet? Protect your audience anyway
Even without a TikTok badge, you can give your followers a simple way to check it is really you. With My Official Links, you create an official page (my-official-links.online/yourname) that gathers your TikTok, your other networks, your WhatsApp numbers, phone numbers and emails. You put that link in your TikTok bio.
With My Official Links certification (a blue badge on your page, independent of TikTok), our team verifies every item:
- your TikTok and other networks show your page link in their bio;
- your WhatsApp numbers receive a WhatsApp call, other numbers a regular call, and you give a code;
- your emails send us a message containing a code;
- your legal name and address are checked.
Your followers can then paste an @username or a number into Check an account and instantly see whether it is official. Start with a free 14-day trial, no credit card.

Frequently asked questions
How many followers do you need to get verified on TikTok?
TikTok does not publish a guaranteed number. Notability, authenticity and activity matter more than a figure. Be wary of anyone quoting a precise threshold in exchange for money.
Can you buy the TikTok blue check?
Never pay a middleman promising a TikTok badge: it is a scam. Check offers and procedures only in the app and on support.tiktok.com.
Does the My Official Links badge show on TikTok?
No. Our badge appears on your My Official Links page and in the Check an account tool. My Official Links is not affiliated with TikTok. Putting your official link in your TikTok bio lets followers reach it.
Why can’t I find the verification option on TikTok?
It may depend on your app version, country or account type. Update the app and check TikTok’s official help center.
