✅ Verification & blue badge
My Official Links certification: step-by-step guide
Your My Official Links page (my-official-links.online/yourname) already gathers your social accounts, WhatsApp numbers, phone numbers and emails. Certification goes further: our team checks that each of these items truly belongs to you. Once everything is verified, your page gets a blue badge, and anyone can confirm in seconds with Check an account that your number or @username is official.
This guide covers everything, with no surprises: requirements, application, checks, payment, duration, renewal and suspension. Reminder: the My Official Links badge is not a Meta, Instagram or TikTok badge, and My Official Links is not affiliated with any social network.
1. Requirements to apply
The request button becomes available in your dashboard once you meet all of these:
- Confirmed email.
- Active paid subscription (9,835 FCFA per year, about €14.99). Certification is not available during the 14-day free trial.
- Page at least 80% complete (the “Your page is X% complete” card in your dashboard shows what is missing).
- At least 2 social accounts on your page.
- At least 1 phone number.
No page yet? Create one for free, set it up during the trial, then subscribe to apply for certification.
2. The application: your legal details
- Choose whether you are an individual (creator, influencer, freelancer) or an organization (company, association, institution).
- Enter your exact legal name as it appears on your official records (registered business name for a company).
- Choose your category, city and country. They help tell namesakes apart.
- Enter your country’s identification number: for example NIU in Cameroon, NCC in Côte d’Ivoire, NINEA in Senegal, NIF or IFU depending on the country, SIREN in France, NIN in Nigeria, Ghana Card PIN, KRA PIN in Kenya.
- For an organization, add the company registration number: RCCM in OHADA countries, CAC in Nigeria, and so on.
- Read and accept the certification charter.
No documents are uploaded: you never send us a photo or scan of your ID.
3. Every item is verified
After you apply, each item on your page becomes a step to validate:
- Social accounts: each account must show your My Official Links page link in its bio. That proves you control the account.
- WhatsApp numbers: you receive a WhatsApp call on each number and give the code shown in your dashboard.
- Other numbers: you receive a regular phone call and give the code.
- Emails: from each address, you send us a message containing your code.
- Legal name and address: our team checks that your legal name, identification number and address are consistent.
For each step, click “Done” when you are ready. The step moves to “In progress”, then “Verified” or “Redo” with the reason explained. When a page has a name close to an already certified page, the team takes extra care to rule out impersonation.
4. Payment and the blue badge
When everything is verified, you get an email and the payment card appears in your dashboard. The certification fee is one-off (6,560 FCFA by default, about €10), payable by Orange Money or MTN MoMo. It is non-refundable: you tick a box to confirm this before paying.
As soon as payment is confirmed, your page shows the blue badge for 2 years. The badge is clickable: it opens the certificate in Check an account, with dates, a signed certificate code (MOL-XXXX-XXXX) and the list of verified items.
5. Orange badge, suspension and renewal
- After 2 years, the badge turns orange: the certification has expired. You can then apply again to renew it.
- Automatic suspension: if you change your name, your page link, or a verified social account, number, email or address (edit or delete), the badge is suspended until it is verified again. This stops anyone from using a badge to quietly swap a number.
- Items added later: a new item added after certification appears on your page, but the check tool says it has not been verified yet.
- Subscription: the badge only shows while your subscription is active. If the page is paused for non-renewal, the badge goes with it.
- Symbols like ✓ or ✅ are refused in names so nobody can imitate the badge.

Frequently asked questions
Can I apply during the free trial?
No. You need an active paid subscription, plus a confirmed email, a page at least 80% complete, 2 social accounts and at least one phone number.
Do I have to send a copy of my ID?
No, no documents are uploaded. You enter your legal name, your identification number (NIU, NCC, NINEA, NIN…) and, for a company, your registration number (RCCM, CAC…). The team then verifies each item.
How much does certification cost and how long does it last?
A one-off fee, 6,560 FCFA by default (about €10), non-refundable, paid once everything is verified. The blue badge lasts 2 years, then turns orange until renewed.
Why was my badge suspended?
You changed your name, your page link or a verified item (social account, number, email, address). The badge comes back once that item is verified again.
Does the My Official Links badge show on Instagram or TikTok?
No. It appears on your My Official Links page and in the Check an account tool. My Official Links is not affiliated with Meta or TikTok.
What happens if my subscription expires?
Your page is paused and the badge is no longer shown. As soon as you renew, the page and the badge (if still valid) come back.
